Indoor Class Health/ Cleanliness Policy for Infant Classes & Groups:

Updated: 01/01/2024 This policy does not apply to our classes for older children (Nightingale Music)

Baby Garten Studio aims to provide a clean, safe space for new parents to bring their little ones.

Vaccinations:

For infant classes, (Baby Sign, New Mom Support, Breastfeeding) Baby Garten Studio asks that ADULT are up to date on all Recommended vaccinations centered on infant protection: Influenza (yearly), Tdap, MMR, VAR, and COVID-19. We won’t request immunization records, so please know we rely on you to be responsible and protect the infants in our classes, who don’t have all of their shots yet. Please know that instructors are up to date on all recommended vaccinations.

Ventilation:

Our room is equipped with an HVAC filtration system to 0.3 -1 micron. Per recommendations, the fan will run for the entirety of the group (even when not cooling). For even more peace of mind, we run an additional free-standing HEPA Air Purifiers with a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) guaranteed to rid the air (in a room our size) of 99.9% of airborne pathogens 5x every hour. We also air the room out as much as possible between classes by leaving the door open.

“No sick policy”

Operating by the same set of standards upheld by almost all childcare settings, please do not attend group if you or your little one experienced or developed any of the following symptoms within the last 48 hours:

  • Fever 100.4⁰F / 38°C or higher

  • Cough

  • Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing

  • Chills

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle Pain or Body Aches

  • New Loss of Taste or Smell

  • Sore Throat

  • Congestion or Runny nose

  • Nausea or Vomiting Diarrhea

  • Other signs of new illness that are unrelated to a preexisting condition (such as seasonal allergies)

Cleanliness:

Classroom and materials are kept extremely clean. Toys and props are not shared between multiple types of classes— each has it’s own unique equipment. We have installed light cream colored carpeting in our classroom, so that you can see we are not hiding any dirt. We keep a shoe-free environment (ADULTS wear clean socks— available for $3 if you forget to bring). Any provide toys or musical instruments are cleaned after each use. It’s up to parents whether or not they want to allow their child to play with our toys or share them between babies. Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and the ability to wash your hands are available to you as desired. No food allowed in carpeted area, breast/ bottle always fine. Please set baby on a blanket or towel especially if you just nursed them, to protect carpet from spitups.

Non-Movers-

  • Tiny ones usually sit on parent’s lap or lay on blanket in front of you, resulting in limited-to-no contact with one another.

Movers-

  • It’s fine for your child to move around and explore the room— we don’t expect them to sit and pay attention like older children. Please be mindful of toddlers around younger babies— this as a great opportunity to start teaching the sign for “gentle”.
