Breastfeeding Basics 4/10, 6 - 8:30pm Breastfeeding is more than just food. Choosing to feed your baby breast milk not only benefits him/her nutritionally but the actual act of breastfeeding offers so much more emotionally and health-wise, for you and baby! In our Breastfeeding Basics class, you will learn:
How breast milk is made
The benefits of breastfeeding for baby, mom, the family, and society
How to tell if baby is getting enough milk
Proper latch and positioning
Pumping basics and milk storage
Basic troubleshooting and where, when, and how to find support
Debunk some commonly misunderstood breastfeeding myths

Baby Care Class TBA
This 3 hour interactive class is perfect for new parents, grandparents or anyone who will be spending significant time caring for a newborn to ensure you have the information and tool to get you off to the right start.The exercises in this class will provide you the skills and confidence you need to smoothly transition into your role as a parent.You'll spend time changing, dressing, swaddling and burping a doll in class to put the words into action.In addition, Dr. Harvey Karp's 5 S's from The Happiest Baby on the Block® techniques will be taught to the class.
