The adjustment to a new child, whether it is the first or fifth, is a journey for parents. Playing, Learning, Exploring (PLE) InfantClasses are designed to empower parents to connect with their babies through nurturing, observing and learning. Each baby is unique so the focus of the classes is to help parents understand what their baby is telling them. Through play activities we teach parents how to stimulate the five developmental domains: gross-motor, fine-motor, communication, social-emotional and cognitive abilities. Weekly topics include (but are not limited to): temperament, attachment, developmental milestones, sleeping and feeding challenges, and coping skills for parents. The classes include group conversation and learning from everyone present, parents and babies alike. Additionally, there is time for parents to ask questions and provide support for one another.
